Stuit, Breech, Suwi

I have now reached 35 weeks of pregnancy and I had my checkup with the gyne last week on my 34th week. Before that i had my previous checkup a month ago at 30weeks and the gyne said that he's still lying head up (breech) and we will see on the 34th week if he has turned down. Well, I had an ultrasound last week on the 34th week and still, my baby is enjoying his position that he hasn't flipped down. He has grown to 2,400 grams and has a nice round belly according to my gyne. I still have enough amniotic fluid around him so there's still a good chance that he will turn head down. The gyne is giving him 2 weeks more and next week she will check again if he has turned head down and if not, we'll have to make definite plans for a ceasarean section. So i went to the internet to search about breech babies and did some good reading. I've learned that in the Netherlands specially, they try to turn the baby through External Cephalic Version (ECV). I know some mothers who had...

Baby's ultrasound video

Hello all, We would like to share our baby's ultrasound video taken on 23 june. My gyne tried to capture his face on 3d but he had his arm constantly across his face. Little mister wants to keep it a surprise i guess. We've uploaded it to youtube so everyone back in Phil can see his movements and tricks :) Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AitrUHexJnY

First 3d echo

We want to share the first 3d echo pictures of our baby taken on 26 may at 25weeks 6days old. We're really amazed at how advanced technology has become. Having depth on the video images really makes a lot of difference and it makes my heart melt when i looked on his face. I was planning before to get a 'pret echo' in case that my gyne dont have 3d echo available in her clinic and im glad she has the equipment for it cause now we get to enjoy watch our baby in 3d without paying extra 100euros for it :)

Work it out mama!

Before i got pregnant I used to go to the fitness and health center three times a week. My goal was to do 1 hour cardio exercises and finish all the weight lifting exercises on my program for every session. Plus i would do 1 hour Body Jam group lesson a week which i really enjoy since i like to dance. To relax after the hard work I would take a soothing Turkish steam bath and drink my hot green tea in the lounge afterwards while enjoying the soft music in the background. Aahhhh. But that was 4 months ago. Then I became pregnant - and that plainfully explains everything. I used to go to the gym directly from work and pack some pasta salad and bread which would be my dinner and eat it at the lounge and off I go to start my exercise program. But now i need to eat decent food especially in the evening since that's the only time of the day that i can take my time and cook whatever i want to eat. Plus i was always exhausted after coming from work in the first months of my pregnancy so wh...

Lime green Nijntje

Im crazy over everything that's lime green and with Nijntje on it :) and i can't wait for my baby to wear this sleepsuit!

Im a baby boy!

yup yup yup! You heard that right! The guessing game is finally over and yesterday i showed mama and papa what im really made of! I know they tried to see a month ago with the doctor but i just wanted to keep it a surprise for another month. It's not that im camera shy or anything cause you'll see on my attached pictures that i actually like to pose on camera. Mama and papa had shown enough patience so i rewarded them yesterday and i let them peek to see "the turtle sign" as you can see on my top right picture. Yep im a boy! The doctor even said that im a big baby boy and i get enough provisions inside my cosy balloon thanks to mama for eating enough and papa for taking care of mama. I'm big indeed and I guess that's why mama's tummy looks already big like what i heard everyone is saying but dont you worry, I still have enough room here to swim and the doctor assured that. I even showed them yesterday some of my swimming strokes as i sway my arms and kick ...

Back and running!

Hello world! (blogging world that is) It's been 5years since i last updated this blog. Im not sure why, but i think i was lost in the world of Friendster during the past years. I kept coming back to blogspot to read blogs of some friends though, but i wasn't really in the mood to update my own blog simply because there's not much going on to post about. But something triggered to go back to blogging, aside from Neri bugging me to start blogging again which im actually thankful for. My reason is actually the same reason why Neri has been pushing me to write again - there is something BIG going on and i only got 9 months to document it! From now on I will not blog only about me and my best friend for 10years now (Happy 10 BFF anniv sweetie!), but i'll be blogging mainly about my first pregnancy! I have kept a week-by-week pregnancy agenda and have been writing on it since week 5 but blogging is a lot easier since i have access to internet most of the day and it's ea...
